Last weekend we met up with my brother, his wife, and their son, and her brother, his wife, and their three kids at Cloudland Canyon State Park. This park is right by Look-Out Mountain, and Greg and I have actually been caving there but had no idea it was a state park.

Look closely - this is an L-shaped tree

Okay, so it wasn't completely primitive. Here's the group at the playground. (I won't mention how we also ate out at Taco Bell during a particularly bad rain storm.)

Jenny (SIL) pushing Tyler (nephew)

The only real group shot I had. You can see my brother in the far right hand corner, and Greg obviously wanted to talk to me.

Playing Ladderball - have you ever seen this game? I hadn't.

Greg got to try out his new birthday present (hiking backpack) because it was a walk-in campsite. I got to officially break in my birthday present - hiking shoes. I think they're especially cool because they blend in with the rocks.

That is what you get for living in a lush, beautiful area... all the bugs, and critters that go with it. Glad Greg is going to be okay.
Not-so-primitive camping is my favorite kind. Next time don't invite any ticks.
Lyme disease? For real? Actually...my old gallery boss and his 2 daughters have it...it is NOT fun...and pretty much doesn't go away. Can you really stop it? Love the L shaped tree!
Awesome L tree! Really, taco bell! You guys seem like you could rough it a little harder than that with all your new birthday gear. JK :) I had a tick once when I was little it totally freaked me out. Good luck with getting over the lime disease.
I like the new shoes! Bring them to UT with ya - we'll get in some hikes! And I think the pictures of the state park are BEAUTIFUL... wow!
And I forgot to say - LYME DISEASE!?!?!? I think that Greg is a keeper, so I'm glad you got him some medical attention!
First of all, you said buttocks(hehe).
Second of all, he really got Lyme Disease! that's crazy!
Your hair is SOOO cute! I know I already said that, but I just had to say it again. And here, I'll say it one more time: SOOOOO CUTE!!! :)
Seriously GORGEOUS area. How fun to spend time in the great outdoors. I live for my AC now.
Come on Greg, what a blog if you won't post rash pictures? Congrats on surviving "The Lyme". Do we need to make you a t-shirt?
OH NO! I was just bragging yesterday that we didn't see any ticks while we were camping- poor Greg. I hope it's nothing too serious and gets better soon! Those darn ticks- there was definitely way too many bugs for my liking there! Glad you guys came!
I don't know why, but I got a big laugh that Greg got Lime disease. He's a REAL mountain man now!
