Christmas in Nashville
My
parents flew into Atlanta on Dec. 23rd and we headed to Nashville that
afternoon to spend Christmas with my brother and his family.

| Christmas Morning |
| Tyler was so much fun to watch opening presents. This is the present from us...jackpot! (Thank goodness Ben told us what to get since we are both terrible gifters.) |
| Julia wanted to help Tyler play with his presents |
| Opening her present from Lea and Shayne |
| It's a onesie that says "Made with Love (and Science). She loves it! |
| But as Tyler continued to open his hundreds of presents, Julia got disappointed her parents were serious about only giving her a magazine for Christmas this year. Refer back to Caption #2. |
| Sue and Jerry gave her this Rudolph stocking. The nose lights up, and she pretty much held on to that nose with a death grip for half of Christmas morning. I'd say it was a soothing technique, but this picture would prove me wrong. |
| How many people are saluting in this picture? |
| These bows are much cheaper |
| We made our parents a genealogy circle. Okay, so we had MaynRad make it for us, but it was our idea! Okay, okay, so we saw it at somebody else's else and that's where we got the idea. |

| I gave Greg a new wood watch |
| And he gave me a 50mm fixed lens for our T2i. Here is the the Blue Steel look Greg mastered from Zoolander. |
| I think I'll stick to this model! |

| Ben and Jenny's best present this year |

| My parents gave Julia and Tucker these adorable bunny hats so that we could say "Rabbit, rabbit!" |
| Coming in after a freezing walk outside...I'm pretty sure the rabbit hat and Chinese coat are going to become a new trend in Ben and Jenny's neighborhood this winter. |
Back to Atlanta
| My Aunt Martie made this adorable jacket and bonnet for Julia when she was born. At 9 months, it finally fits this dwarf. |
| She thought it would look better on her dad's head |
| Yep, he's pretty cute in a bonnet! |
| I love my new lens! |
| My parents came back from Nashville on Thursday and spent the rest of the week with us. We went to the Marietta Museum of History where Julia found this bell which is almost as tall as she is. |
| No, we can't keep her tongue in her mouth. |
| And we can't keep his tongue in his mouth either. |
Back to Nashville
Yes, we got to go back! I dropped my parents off at the airport on New Year's Eve and we headed back to Nashville to help Ben out after having surgery. Unfortunately, the night we got there Julia got her 3rd ear infection and ran a fever for a day and a half. We were not as helpful as we wanted to be.
| But the sleep-deprived, over-medicated baby finally crawled. Should we have tortured her earlier to get these results? |

| My adorable nephews |
Back to Atlanta
Are you seeing a travel pattern here?
| Julia's Christmas present from Greg's parents arrived...her own chair! Greg is teaching her how to be a couch potato like him. They are going to sit on the couch, eat bon-bons, and watch soaps all January. |
| Did you know that watching "Baby Mozart" is hard work? It requires the Michael Jordan tongue of concentration. |
It was a wonderful holiday, and our goal for January of 2013 is to STAY HOME. Now February...that's another story.
