And yet we still took another trip - St. Augustine

Okay, so just a minute ago I said I would never travel alone with a toddler again. For the record, this trip was with Greg, and it made all the difference.

Okay, this is before we left, but I just have to document that it is possible to eat corn on the cob with only one tooth. So when we're 80 and lose all our teeth, we will be dining on corn on the cob for sure!

We rented a beach house with Greg's old roommate and his family in St. Augustine for the weekend.

FORT MATANZAS

We took a boat ride over to this tiny little fort where a huge massacre happened. We only looked at it when we visited in November because it was really cold, and we had missed the boat ride.

I have to preface by saying there is absolutely nothing cuter than a baby on a beach. This is only a few of the hundreds of pics I took.

And nothing cuter than Greg jumping waves with his daughter. She was terrified of the water.

We wore her out so much, she came home and practiced her recorder laying down. Bad form, Julia! Good thing your mom's not a music teacher!

Toddler Traveling - The Best and Worst of Times!

Julia and I took a trip to UT as soon as school ended for me. What did I learn? Never travel alone with a toddler. She was fantastic on the plane rides, but got sick in UT and stopped sleeping and wouldn't go to anybody but me. It was like having a newborn all over again!

Julia didn't seem to mind the stress she was putting me under one bit.

Okay, so the weather said it was going to be in the 60s for the first half of the week and that's winter in GA, so I packed a ton of winter clothes. It was SO HOT in UT, and I felt so stupid. Thanks Lea for taking the pic and documenting my stupidity.

HOME AGAIN...THANK GOODNESS!

Turns out Julia is a real home-body. She came home and slept 13 1/2 hours the first night, and took two 3-hour naps the next day. Here she is chilling out, happy to be home. Don't worry Julia, we're not traveling alone for a VERY LONG TIME!
