A few weekends ago Greg and I traveled to TN for a big Dahl get-together. Greg's dad, Tom, invited his brothers Eric and Phil to Oak Ridge for a family reunion. We went biking at Cade's Cove, an authentic pioneer settlement from the 1800s in the Smoky Mountains, Saturday morning.
Eric, Phil and Tom Dahl: Brothers!
The gang before the bike ride.
The scenery was incredible. The Smoky Mountains are especially beautiful in the early morning hours!
Tommy pulling two of his four boys.
Ty rode the entire 13 miles!
And so did Alex!
And so did Tom!
It was no big deal for Matt, who was pulling 11-month-old Quinn along but could have basically been pulling all of us as well.
The whole group, with the addition of Betty (Greg's Mom) and Grandma Dahl (Tom, Phil and Eric's mom)
Tom and his sons, Greg and Tommy (we missed you David!)

Perfect form AND sexy legs. Greg must have been so proud.
Love Cade's Cove...well - the boys thought the drive was very long - biking would have been much better!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Smoky Mountains! Went camping there for my Senior Year Spring Break trip. So absolutely gorgeous! How did you get your bikes up? Do you have a rack on your car? Anyway, what a fun day of biking. Makes me miss it. Don't quite trust my large body on one of those things right now.
Awesome that the kids were able to do it too! Looks like you guys had a great time! You've had lots of little adventures and have been busy- good for you guys! That biking looks fun and makes me want to do that today when Ben gets home!
I can't believe those kids went the entire 13 miles! I know I couldn't (I mean wouldn't want to) on a traditional biking bike. I like grandma bikes, though...and could ride and ride if I could sit straight up!
That last grandma photo with you and Greg looks like a posed 80's photo with the lighting just on you :-)
What a feel good blog! Very fun reliving those moments...and the photography was amazing!
