The ultrasound technician seemed to think this was a beautiful picture of our baby's face. I've seen better. I think maybe that's a hand in front of her head? I can't really decipher this picture. I guess I need to go to medical school. So I know this will come as a shocker...but our baby is petite. She measures in the 18th percentile, but as long as she's not in the 10th or below the doctors are happy. Their estimate is that she currently weighs 5 lbs and 12 oz as of Friday. And I'm perfectly fine with the idea of birthing a small baby. No complaints from me!
The amniotic fluid measured above average, so they hooked us up to the monitor to do a stress test. Turns out, she is just as happy as can be swimming around in her above average pool of urine. They want to do ANOTHER ultrasound next Friday just to check the fluid.
The 37 week update - I am 2 cm dilated and still 50% effaced. I hope the progress continues like this each week. I'm getting kind of uncomfortable, but mostly because the round ligaments in my legs keep spasm'ing and making it difficult to walk, and also because my hips don't feel attached to my body anymore. Who knew our hips and legs were so critical to getting around!
In the meantime, I'm on Spring Break this week! Let the week of last minute projects begin!

Glad everything looks good! I can't wait to meet that cute baby!!!
Yeah, during the last months my hips detach from my legs. I am a back sleeper (okay, when I'm preggo I try to sleep slightly inclined to the side), and when I'd wake up Jared would have to literally pull my hips together and try to move me off the bed. I got to the point that I just couldn't do it! I can sympathize!
not fair. when we do ultrasounds at my check-ups, we can't fit the entire head in one shot. :(
amen to the walking and ligament pain. Lorrin thinks I'm going into labor anytime I get up after sitting down for a while - I'm a little too vocal with my pain.
Gracias for the updates! I'm excited for our babies!
YAY!!! Counting down to see my little neice!
